Our certified personal trainers will help you develop a workable routine that fits in with your schedule and lifestyle. The extra push that a personal trainer provides, along with the proper instruction of the latest routine, may be what is needed to help you reach your goals. Mickie is a licensed, practicing physical therapist in an outpatient orthopedic sports medicine clinic here on Aquidneck Island. She holds a license to practice as a certified athletic trainer with athletics in the H.S. and Collegiate level and has been practicing as a personal trainer since 2000. Experience training all levels.

Jacki Schriber-Lane, Director of Fitness and Training
AFAA Certified Personal Trainer with certifications and experience in Spinning, Yoga, Aerobics, Aquatic Fitness and Body Toning Group Exercise Classes. She has been a certified fitness professional since 1988. Her current client base ranges from 15 year old track athletes to 80 year old clients working to maintain basic life strength and function. She works with all of her clients to ensure they know how to maximize their time in the gym to achieve their goals faster - and being a Mom of 2, she loves to help other mom's find the time to get back their pre-kid form!!!

Heidi Jones
Heidi is an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer with a lifetime of personal fitness experience and results.
Her positive attitude and high energy will guarantee you are entertained, educated and motivated to reach your goals. Whether they are to build muscle and lose fat, achieve a faster running time or become more conditioned in any aerobic activity - feel stronger and more energetic, She'll get you there.
She primarily focuses on building long, lean muscle, while encouraging more cardiovascular performance from her clients enabling them to improve their metabolism to maintain their weight loss goals forever.
Her past accomplishments include running road races (including a twenty-six mile marathon), swim team, volley ball team, cross country and track and field. Her hobbies include weight lifting, kick boxing, step and tennis– a well rounded athlete.

Cheryl Kearns
Cheryl is a AAAI/ISMA Certified Personal Trainer and also a Johnny G Certified Spin Instructor. With over 25 years experience as a Group Instructor, Cheryl has mastered the techniques needed to challenge and motivate her clients to achieve and exceed their desired goals. When she is not assisting clients in the gym, you will find her competing in road races or conditioning young track athletes at the Portsmouth High School. Whatever your age or ability level is, Cheryl will coach you to your results.

Melissa McGrath
Melissa is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Medicine from Bridgewater State College.
With a concentration in Athletic Training, her knowledge of injury assessment, prevention and rehabilitation has provided her with a wide range of skills to aid in developing cardiovascular and strength training programs. She was a competitive gymnast through high school along with Cross-Country and Track & Field in College. She currently competes in triathlons and road races.

She was a competitive soccer athlete throughout High School and College and continues to play competitive soccer throughout the State of RI and Massachussetts for the Womens Newport Spinnakers Team. Throughout the years, she has participated in running many road races and recently, she has taken on a new challenge of competing in several Sprint Triathlons and Duathlons over the past year. With this experience, she is familiar with preparing and training for any type of racing event. Whatever your motivation or needs may be, she loves to help others strive to achieve their own personal goals and overall personal fitness levels.

Dina Abbondante
Private Yoga Instruction
Dina Abbondante, ERYT is an experienced registered Yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance and has taught interdisciplinary styles of Yoga for 4 years. She has studied natural medicine for 10 years. Her studies include Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic science and Vinyasa Yoga. Dina is a Usui Reiki master and infuses her classes with hands-on alignment for clarity and effectiveness of practice.
Dina’s initial teacher training and certification, in both Vinyasa Yoga and mat Pilates, was established through Soma Yoga in 2003. She has since trained with Patricia Walden, an Iyengar master teacher, and continues to study Iyengar’s approach to detailed alignment and therapeutic techniques for well being.
Dina teaches pre & post-natal Yoga, Yogalates (infusing Yoga with Pilates), and guided Meditation practices. Her individualized focus is led through “Vinyasa Krama”, the linking of breath and movement, to enhance internal flow and full range of movement for the joints. Each of Dina’s classes center on traditional breath observations and on creating an intelligent practice that heightens mindfulness on and off the mat. She invites her students to move from within and to nourish an open mind.
